bye bye plastic bags.
2023
Bali, Indonesia.
Bye Bye Plastic Bags story started in 2013 when 2 little sisters, aged 10 & 12 years old, had an idea to protect their island home of Bali from plastic pollution. Melati and Isabel Wijsen were on a mission to make Bali plastic bag free.
Quickly, their message reached stages around the world like TED, CNN, United Nations and the sisters helped build momentum towards the ban on single use plastic bags which finally came into effect in 2018 thanks to the efforts of many like minded organisations and individuals.
Bye Bye Plastic Bags worked with purpose in order to launch their first NFT collection, the “Plastic Free Collection”. All the funds will be used to create further awareness about reducing the usage of plastics through education. Bye Bye Plastics Bags also aims to build a studio to broadcast plastic-free info to the world!
